| Professor Dr. Michael Shur receives the award for his longstanding and important contributions to the development of novel semiconductor materials and devices. His numerous scientific achievements have been recognized worldwide and have made him one of the most quoted scientist in this field. Despite of an increasing number of duties in science management and administration, Michael Shur has remained active at the forefront of research. His current work is dedicated to electronic devices operating at extremely high frequencies and to the multifunctional sensor project "Sensitive Skin". |
